Roses, Hand-Arranged in Orlando

Roses have been the go-to flower for love, friendship and apologies for longer than any of us can remember, and nothing has topped them yet. A dozen red roses means the same thing to almost everyone, and that kind of clarity is rare.

At Leaf & Blossom Co., every rose arrangement is designed by hand at our Orlando shop. You'll find classic dozens in red, pink, white, yellow and lavender, bigger statement pieces with 18 or 24 stems, and modern designs paired with eucalyptus, willow or hydrangea. Each rose is checked before it goes in the vase: guard petals removed, stems freshly cut, so the heads open slowly over the next few days.

What Each Rose Color Says

• Red: romance and deep love. The anniversary and Valentine's Day classic.
• Pink: admiration and gratitude. Hot pink feels playful; light pink feels tender.
• White: new beginnings, respect and remembrance.
• Yellow: friendship and joy. A great birthday or congratulations rose.
• Lavender: enchantment, and a nice twist on the usual red.

Make Your Roses Last

Change the water every two days, recut the stems at an angle and keep the vase away from direct sun and A/C vents. Cared for like that, a fresh rose arrangement will look lovely for a week or more.
